School District 203 Kindergarten Orientation Video
When School District 203 in Naperville, Illinois needed to show the children and parents what to expect when they get to Kindergarten, they turned to Mike Poglitsch and Acclaim Media to help. The 22-minute piece called "Quality Kindergarten: Connecting School and Home" was also made available in Spanish. Principal Susan Stuckey, a former teacher, believes in the power of video to deliver the message. "Conversations between parents and teachers will be at a higher level and more learning will occur," she says. The video was a problem solver in allowing a large amount of information to be delivered in an interesting way, and to have the communicators, the teachers themselves, be able to deliver the message and tell the story. This production was awarded a "DV Award" in 2002 for Outstanding Achievement in Digital Video Production.
Bringing the Machine to the Employee
Acclaim Media Productions can be described as the "Swiss army knife of the Production Industry", putting the problem solving approach to work with all clients served. Stoelting, an industrial machinery supplier located in Wisconsin, needed to virtually bring a machine the size of an office building to various parts of the country upon which their employees could train. Since this was impossible, and the alternative was cost prohibitive for the company in terms of travel, Acclaim produced a CD-ROM that brought the machine to the employee, thereby saving the company thousands of dollars in travel and training for employees all over the country. The result was even wider reaching capabilities or the company than they had envisioned. Acclaim exceeded all expectations by creating CD-ROM's for various divisions of the company, Power Point presentation, and other applications and video clips that are accessed and viewed from their website.
Quality Draws Praises
"I have no need to go elsewhere for production services." A strong statement of praise from a client who hired Acclaim for work on their television pilot program. The Executive Producer at Kotler Pictures in Chicago continues, "With every showing of my program, I get at least a few compliments on the quality of the shooting. Acclaim’s cameraman and sound engineer worked beautifully in tandem. I look forward to working with Acclaim again."
